Afterimage mobile Monument
Love Carries On
Love carries between both the spiritual and physical dimensions. - The spirit’s existence is timeless. The soul is eternal. There is no end.

This mobile memorial was developed and constructed by members of The Massachusetts Coalition for Maternal Mortality Awareness. The creators wanted to make a mobile monument due to the near total absence of monuments worldwide in the public domain that honor those who have passed away from Labor and Delivery complications.
Â

The memorial was designed to both honor all labor and delivery victims as well as to be a healing conduit for the loved ones these victims had to leave behind. The front panel of the monument has a white semi transparent Ankh with angel wings impression. The main block that the monument sits on is rectangular shape with synthetic foam marble plates on each side. The text on these panels reads as follows: Honor and Remembrance - Love carries between both the spiritual and physical dimensions. - The spirit’s existence is timeless. The soul is eternal. There is no end. - For the spirit’s in that higher dimension, pain and grief do not exist. The monument stands 6 foot 5inches tall and is topped with a 30inch tall Angel. It is typical for the monument to appear at dusk and always concludes by being adorned by 7 candles with the Angle on top holding one in her tray. The 7 candles represent the current statical estimations of: 700 woman passing passing daily throughout the world, 2700 infants born each day that do not survive passed their first 24 hours of life, 700 mothers that die annually in the United States alone all due to L&D complications.
